Ferraris at Costa del Sol
Ferrari experiences

Ferrari events I have participated in

There are two Ferrari Clubs that have activities on Costa del Sol. The official Ferrari Club where most people only speak Spanish and a inofficial english speaking club: Ferrari Owners Club Andalucia. The later club meets in Nueva Andalucia (Central Plaza), Marbella, usually every Sunday, but as there are Corona restrictions so there are no meeting just now.

I think FOCA was started by Tony Dalli, a profile on Costa del Sol and a singer. The first years in the club we went often on a rally in the mountains of Andalucia to a nice place to have lunch. All was very well orginised. An hours ride on the narrow and windling roads. Sometimes we just went for a lunch and when it was a F1 race we watched it. Thoose rallies have faded out.

The Ferrari 70 years celebration was fantastic. Gathering at Hotel Puente Romano. Probably 70 Ferraris drove through the habour of Puerto Banus onwards to Salamanca Motors in San Pedro. Friends, food, entertainment all day. See Gallery.

We have also attended the official Spanish Ferrari Club as guests on some occations. Very well organised and generous, but we do not speak Spanish so we did not understand much of what was happening. After 15 years in Spain we would probably enjoy it more but Costa del Sol is so international so you do not need to speak Spanish and that is not improving your Spanish.
